Part-time CPO for the marine industry: digital product teams with human-in-the-loop AI.

Saturday at the charter base: between the boats coming back in the morning and the new crews boarding in the evening, there’s the deposit to release, the tank to fill, the check-in list, the dinghy outboard that won’t start and the client who booked the wrong boat. I set up and lead the product teams that build for that day.

Available from October 2026, on site or remote.

A sailing instructor briefs a team on a marina pontoon before boarding a cruising yacht.

What I set up

A product team that starts from the people it serves: the client on the pontoon, the team at the base, the skipper.

Human in the loop: the team uses AI every day, and a named person checks and decides on each use.

I set it up with you and hand it over, or I stay on as your part-time CPO.

Where leaders usually start

  1. “We merged. It isn’t one company yet.”

Two cultures, and no shared vision.

    HumanVision

Who we serve together, in one sentence both teams can repeat.

  2. “I’m the CEO, and everything still goes through me.”

The vision lives in your head, and the teams don’t have it yet.

    VisionIndicators

Vision, then goals, then indicators. Teams that know where they’re going can decide on their own.

  3. “Everyone talks about AI. How do we do it without losing our people?”

Fear of the machine, and tools chosen before needs.

    HumanDecisions

Which task AI takes off whose plate, and what it must never take. The machine proposes, the team challenges it.

  4. “We ship a lot. Are we building the right things?”

    Goals nobody measures.

    Indicators

The numbers the team ties to the vision, each with an owner.

  5. “We have data everywhere, and we still decide on gut feeling.”

    Nobody owns the decisions.

    DataDecisions

What we look at, who decides, and by when.

  6. “We’ve just raised. How do we grow without losing what made us good?”

Culture and delegation, at a larger scale.

    Human

Back to people, one turn higher. We write down what must not change, then who decides what.

Charter and rental, marketplaces, marinas, refit yards, navigation and fleet software, chandlery, equipment makers.

Three formats

Digital, product & AI diagnosis

2 days

With the leadership team and the product people, we look at where your product stands and how the team decides.

Set-up mission

4 to 8 weeks

We set up the product team together, around the product that matters most for next season.

The same five questions, applied to your product

  1. Human
  2. Vision
  3. Indicators
  4. Data
  5. Decisions, then back to Human, one turn higher
  1. 01 Human Who gains what, for real: the client on the pontoon, the team at the base, the skipper?
  2. 02 Vision One page the whole team can repeat, from the base to the developers.
  3. 03 Indicators The numbers the team chooses to follow, such as the time a check-in takes.
  4. 04 Data What you collect, who looks at it, and when.
  5. 05 Decisions AI proposes, a named person decides, and the decision is written down.

What I bring back from the boat

On board, I rotate three roles: pilot, navigator, crew. After each sail, ten minutes: what worked, what cost us time, one thing we change.

I run a product team the same way.

Questions leaders ask

How much does it cost?

The 2-day diagnosis costs €1,400, report included. The set-up mission starts at €5,600. That’s about 8 days at €700, over 4 to 8 weeks. Part-time CPO starts at €2,800 a month for 1 day a week, €5,600 for 2 days.

When can you start?

From October 2026.

On site or remote?

I’m based in Barcelona. Elsewhere, we work remotely and I come on site when it’s useful.

We don’t have a product team yet. Is that a problem?

No. We start from the people you have today, and we organise the roles, the rituals and who decides.

Is leadership coaching included?

Yes. Coaching the leadership team is part of how I work, in both formats.

What happens after the mission?

Your team carries on with its roles, its rituals and its roadmap. If you want, I stay on as part-time CPO, month by month.
